Hello Everyone! Welcome to my blog. The title of my blog is Contrasting Coverage: Fox News vs. MSNBC vs. CNN. This title really outlines what I will be covering in my blog throughout the semester. These days, news coverage on a specific topic will look very different depending on what news source you are getting the information from. Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN are three major news networks people look to when ingesting news coverage. My blog will highlight key differences in the way these news networks broadcast information on the same topic. While I will mainly be highlighting the differences of coverage between these three networks, I will also highlight any contrasting coverage that I see in the media ranging from talk shows, magazines, newspapers, podcasts, and other online news sources. The current political climate in the United States is very polarized, and as a result, the news has also become somewhat of a polarized medium, with coverages varying from network to network. The tones and attitudes and rhetoric used by the networks differ depending on where you watch, listen to, or read. I understand this can be a controversial subject and there will be many varying opinions on the matter. I encourage my fellow classmates to post their perspectives and opinions on my posts! Every viewpoint is welcome.
